Anyway,
I thought it might be fun to do a simple shape tutorial based on several images of different quality and levels. Just save the image to your computer adn then you "place" the image into your illustrator document as a 'template". Then create a new layer.

If your fairly new to illustrator, I would start off with the sail boat, tracing with the the pen tool and getting used to creating curves with it...
And then move on to the star shape. There are several ways to create this shape. Pen tool, star shape, line tool, circle,,etc..
And just move along until you feel your getting used to the tools.
The guitar should probably be the final image you create. It's not as tough as you might think. Your just using basic shapes, and manipulating them, utilizing your layers....
Anyway, i hope this helps to get some of you started... and if you have questinos as your going along, please post them and hopefully I or another advanced member can assist in helping you out.
And be sure and post what you've done. Even if you think it didn't come out right, the feedback from other members will help alot.
And if you come across any tutorials you think would be helpful, feel free to p[ost them. |
